A Simple Idea to Ensure a Lift in Promotional Sales

To ensure a sales lift when selling-in BOGO's (Buy One Get One Free), bonus products (XX% more for Free!), or discounted price offers to your customers we suggest trying the following:

During the sell-in to your buyer, require that they purchase more than their usual purchase amount.  For example, if selling in a bonus package with 25% more product - free, require that the buyer purchase 10%, 15%, or 20% more packages than their usual purchase amount. This will help you ensure a solid lift in sales as well as demonstrate to the buyer the value of your product. Also, the buyer will need the additional product as consumers will take advantage of your promotional offer.

Use the same concept when offering price discounts or other promotions. This a tried and proven concept utilized by Consumer-Packaged Goods companies.  

Don't give your product away. Your product and your promotions have real value. Expect to profit from them.
